The course presents the analytical approach of forensic toxicology.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Basic knowledge of chemistry and biology.

Program

Introduction to forensic toxicology - biological matrices usable in forensic toxicology: analytical and interpretative aspects - different methods of preparation of the biological sample in the pre-analytical phase - chromatographic separation analytical techniques in liquid and gaseous phase: general and applicative aspects. Electrophoretic techniques - mass spectrometry - validation of analytical methods.
