Chiostro S. Maria della Vittoria - S.R. T.15 [T.15 - Terra] Elena Trifiletti The seminar will provide an overview of different types of experimental research designs in psychology, including experimental and quasi-experimental, between-subjects, within-subjects, and mixed designs. Specifically, the course will cover the following topics: - Types of validity - Lab vs. field research - Experimental designs: causality, the logic of experiments, threats to internal validity - Quasi-experimental designs: causal inference, threats to internal validity, controlling for order of treatment conditions The advantages and disadvantages of each research design will be discussed. Students will be encouraged to apply the theoretical concepts to concrete examples of study design.
