Prerequisites and basic notions
A basic knowledge of Roman history.
Program
This single-subject course will focus on the history of Roman imperial women from the Julio-Claudian dynasty to the Severan age. This topic will be explored mainly through the analysis of primary sources (literature, inscriptions, numismatics) and secondary sources (articles and monographs).

The course will be classroom-taught.
Learning assessment procedures
The final exam will be held orally.
Evaluation criteria
The lecturer will ask three questions on all teaching materials.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade will be determined according to the following criteria:
- sufficient (18/30-23/30): superficial knowledge of the topics covered; incomplete preparation;
- satisfactory (24/30-27/30): adequate or good ability to orientate oneself and approach the topics of the programme with a critical sense;
- excellent (28/30-31/30): complete understanding of the topics covered and excellent critical thinking skills.
