CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.  

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
multidisciplinary knowledge aimed at the critical analysis of specific social problems

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING
ability to analyze social and territorial determinants that can favor or hinder the effectiveness and efficiency of services.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES The laboratory is precisely oriented to treating, with particular attention to current events, the continuous changes involving social services. It is therefore proposed to address and deepen the emerging social problems both in the general social context and in the operational social-welfare and socio-health operational realities. The objective is to provide the knowledge and skills necessary for the interpretation and critical analysis of these problems, as well as to hypothesize and / or plan, also starting from the competences already in possession of the participants, intervention methods useful for dealing with and taking charge of such situations uncomfortable.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Knowledge of the organization of social services; knowledge of the code of ethics; knowledge of the work and skills of the social worker.

Program

The workshop will address the issue of collective social and environmental emergencies, with a focus on the role of social work in emergency contexts.

Didactic methods

Lectures for the presentation of individual topics. Use of examples / cases taken from real experiences. Proposals of cases on which to activate discussions in plenary. Simulations and group works.
Classes will be held in presence, they will not be recorded. The workshop requires attendance for 2/3 of the class hours. I invite those who attend to take a look at the materials in the Moodle space of the workshop.
All materials used in the lecture will be made available in the Moodle space.
Students in particular situations of fragility, unable to attend lessons due to disability conditions or particularly disabling learning disorders, are invited to contact the "Inclusion and Accessibility Service", which will assess the actual impossibility of attendance on a case-by-case basis and agree with the lecturer on the means of support.
THE BIBLIOGRAPHY CAN BE FOUND IN THE TEACHING MOODLE.

Learning assessment procedures

The laboratory activity will be evaluated through the preparation by the participants of a self-reflexive written text with a part dedicated to the deepening of one of the topics covered during the course.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

Relevance of the themes present in the paper. Critical and self-critical analysis skills.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The vote will be expressed out of thirty.
