Learning objectives
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING in-depth knowledge of the economic and business dynamics of social work organizations, their management and evaluation ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ability to manage and manage problems related to human resources decision-making ability in complex organizational situations. SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES The course aims to offer students a reading of the main organizational models that have been applied in the past and which are still used today by companies and administrations in various business contexts. Specifically, the course will deepen the theories and management models of Human Resources from the dawn of classical theories to the discovery of the human, group and motivation. Further reflection will be offered with the analysis of marketing and customer satisfaction in services in order to stimulate students to develop an attention to the users with whom they could compete in both private and public bodies. The theoretical analysis will be completed by an application part dedicated to the analysis of case studies and research applied in different sectors.
Prerequisites and basic notions
No prior knowledge is required.
Program
The course aims to provide students with the fundamental concepts for reading and managing service enterprises in order to understand and manage the new models of
business. Specifically, the following topics will be addressed in the course:
- Concept of service and the service management system
- Form of enterprise governance and the management of services
- The organisation and management of service enterprises: Organisational structures; Business processes; Business models; Indicators (KPIs)
qualitative and economic-financial indicators; The budget and the business plan
- Human resources management in service delivery
- Communication and innovation in services
- Sustainability and business strategy

Didactic methods
The course will be delivered mainly through lectures, during which the fundamental theoretical concepts concerning the management of service companies will be presented and management tools will be illustrated.

In order to enrich the learning experience and provide a practical perspective, case studies will also be presented, narrated by company representatives, and
testimonials from experts. These interventions will serve as a focus on specific topics, allowing students to confront real-life situations and practical applications of the concepts discussed.

There are currently no optional or external activities planned beyond the teaching hours, but the testimonials and case studies will offer particularly useful moments of in-depth study for a more concrete immersion in the dynamics addressed during the lessons.
Learning assessment procedures
The examination consists of a written test. Three open questions.

Evaluation criteria
The questions are structured in such a way as to test the level of knowledge of topics concerning the management of service enterprises. At the same time
they are designed to test the ability to interpret the main problem-solving issues.
The test is designed to ascertain
- the knowledge of the topics in the syllabus;
- the ability to apply the logic schemes to the various organisational design problems presented;
- the depth and breadth of the knowledge acquired;
- the property of language;
- the ability to use the techniques and tools covered in the course.
The final assessment is expressed in 30ths.
During the first lesson and on the Moodle space of the course, any differences in the syllabus between attending and non-attending students will be explained in detail.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade is obtained by adding the points obtained by answering the 3 questions.
