Learning outcomes

The course aims at furnishing the theoretical and technological basis to approach the study of protein functions.
The course integrates proteomic strategies, target identification, biochemical interaction analysis, protein arrays, informatics-based interaction prediction to address the investigation of the proteinogenic changes that underlie the disease pathomechanisms, with examples based on selected diseases.

Examination Methods


The exam aims at evaluating through a 2 hours written test, composed by open questions, the knowledge gained by the student over both the theory and the methodology in the field of functional proteomic investigations.
