Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Learning outcomes
Il percorso didattico si propone di rendere gli studenti gli studenti in grado di:
• descrivere un insieme di dati, saper leggere le tabelline di sintesi ed utilizzare misure di posizione e dispersione;
• interpretare e comunicare in modo appropriato le informazioni riguardanti tali dati;
• conoscere gli elementi di base del calcolo delle probabilità;
• conoscere e utilizzare le misure di frequenza e di associazione in campo epidemiologico;
• conoscere le caratteristiche dei principali tipi di studio epidemiologico;
• valutare in termini di sensibilità, specificità, accuratezza e precisione, la bontà di un test di screening.
Program
1. Contenuti di STATISTICA MEDICA
• Utilizzo della statistica in ambito sanitario
• Raccolta e presentazione dei dati:
• Misurazione, tipi di variabili e scale di misura; precisione e accuratezza di un procedimento di misurazione; costruzione tabelle a 1 e 2 entrate; frequenze assolute e relative; frequenze cumulate. Rappresentazione grafica dei dati (istogrammi orizzontali o verticali, poligoni delle frequenze semplici e cumulate, diagrammi circolari)
• Misure di posizione: Moda, quantili e mediana, media aritmetica semplice e ponderata
• Misure di dispersione: Range, deviazione standard,coefficiente di variazione
• Cenni di calcolo delle probabilità: Definizione di probabilità; regola dell’addizione e della moltiplicazione; probabilità indipendenti e condizionate
• Distribuzioni di Probabilità: Cenni alla distribuzione normale
2. Contenuti di EPIDEMIOLOGIA
• Introduzione all’epidemiologia: Definizione di Epidemiologia; outcome, parametro di occorrenza, determinante
• Misure di occorrenza: Incidenza, incidenza cumulativa, prevalenza
• Misure di associazione: Rischio attribuibile, rischio relativo, Odds Ratio; confondenti e modificatori d’effetto
• Test diagnostico e di screening: Sensibilità, specificità , valore predittivo positivo di un test di screening
• Tipi di studio epidemiologico:Cenni a studi trasversali (cross-sectional), studi di coorte, studi caso-controllo,studi clinici controllati
