Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
Il corso si propone di illustrare agli studenti le modalità e gli strumenti per affrontare un testo di letteratura scientifica inerente l’area infermieristica in lingua inglese: tecniche di comprensione, tecniche di traduzione, struttura di un testo.
L’attività didattica offre agli studenti gli strumenti linguistici per sostenere un dialogo con il paziente e conoscere il panorama lessicale specifico per la loro professionalità.
Il programma prevede anche una costante analisi morfo-sintattica e lessicale dei testi presi in esame aiutando gli studenti a consolidare e sviluppare le competenze linguistiche richieste dalle letture.
Program
Tecniche di lettura, comprensione e traduzione di testi in inglese inerenti l’area infermieristica. Elaborazione scritta di dialoghi con i pazienti, creazione di un glossario completo per descrivere l’ambiente lavorativo e i contenuti richiesti.
Analisi morfosintattica con esercizi relativi a tutti gli argomenti grammaticali presenti nei testi e nelle esercitazioni.
Esercizio di comprensione di pagine web per la ricerca in rete di articoli e riviste.

Examination Methods
La prova di esame prevede la traduzione attiva e passiva di alcune parti di un testo scientifico con esercizi di comprensione in italiano ed in inglese. La prova prevede inoltre la creazione di una lista di parole chiave tratte dal testo in esame.
L’esame include una parte di traduzione attiva di un dialogo infermiere-paziente.
Durante l’esame è consentito l’utilizzo del dizionario.
