Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes
gli studenti dovranno apprendere:
• la capacità di comprendere i segni e sintomi di una situazione patologica al fine di condurre un accertamento mirato, di dedurre i problemi reali e potenziali del paziente e monitorarli in base all’evoluzione clinica;
• la capacità di dedurre dalle scelte diagnostico-terapeutiche gli interventi assistenziali e di supporto;
• la capacità di pianificare e gestire un piano assistenziale con approccio globale che comprenda gli aspetti clinici, tecnici, educativi e relazionali e che segua la presa in carico della persona dalla eventuale ospedalizzazione fino all’assistenza domiciliare e riabilitativa;
• la capacità di elaborare un programma di educazione terapeutica per l’autogestione della malattia e/o del trattamento a livello domiciliare.
Program
Approccio clinico alla persona affetta da patologie infettive
• L’importanza della risposta individuale all’agente infettivo come causa di patologia e fattore di prognosi.
• I principali segni clinici che si manifestano all’inizio di malattie infettive importanti (sepsi e meningite batterica).
• La complessità dell’antibioticoterapia, la rilevanza che sta assumendo l’antibioticoresistenza, le motivazioni a supporto del “timing” delle somministrazioni.
• Il fenomeno delle infezioni ospedaliere e nel soggetto portatore di trapianto, in particolare i rischi specifici per le varie patologie presentate dai pazienti in ospedale e il rischio derivante dall’ambiente e dalle manovre invasive.
• L’importanza delle precauzioni di sicurezza orientate a ridurre il rischio infettivo.
• I meccanismi patogenetici, clinici ed assistenziali delle malattie infettive ad evoluzione cronica (malattia tubercolare, epatite croniche, HIV).
• Le infezioni come rischio professionale e le relative misure preventive, in particolare le infezioni trasmesse attraverso il contatto con materiali biologici infetti e la tubercolosi.
