Advanced/Professional Development course in English for the World of Work: Focus on professional speaking and writing skills
The Advanced, Professional Development Course “English for the World of Work”, now in its sixth edition, was originally established to respond to the needs of the Italian workplace, which increasingly requires proficient and competent English users.
The course aims, therefore, to develop and extend the participants’ English speaking and written skills and is aimed primarily at the management sector. The participants are mainly university students and professionals, who are already at work, but it is highly useful to researchers, assistant researchers and doctoral students as well.
Requirements for admissions :The requirements for enrollment on Advanced Courses are one of the following:
a) a three-year long degree awarded pursuant to Ministerial Decree no. 270 of 2004 or Ministerial Decree n. 509 of 1999;
b) a university degree of at least three years which adheres to the above-mentioned regulations;
c) a qualification issued abroad, which is recognized by current Italian law.
The requirement for enrollment on Professional Development Courses is the possession of a high school diploma or an equivalent diploma issued abroad, which is recognized by current Italian law.
Level of competence in English B1
Evaluation criteria for admission :Highest priority will be given to those candidates who have a level C2 in English, followed by C1, B2 and B1; priority will be given firstly to students who are in possession of a three-year degree or equivalent (they will be ranked according to the final degree grade), and secondly to students enrolled in three-year courses based on the weighted average of their exam marks.
