Learning objectives

The course aims to provide initial methodological and epistemological mastery in relation to teaching literary texts in preschool and elementary school, introducing students to the fundamentals of literary theory, particularly structural analysis and contextualization of works. This first module will focus on the role of literary texts in elementary school, with a particular focus on teaching Italian as a second language.

Prerequisites and basic notions

Knowledge of the general lines of the history of Italian literature.

Didactic methods

Lectures will be delivered using the expository and participatory method, also using PowerPoint slides and supplemented with materials made available online.

Learning assessment procedures

Written exam (interim test) at the end of the module.

Evaluation criteria

Based on the level of achievement of the educational objectives, the written tests will have the following grades: insufficient, D (sufficient), C (fair), B (good), A (excellent).
