The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Learning outcomes

Choose and apply methodologies and teaching strategies to diversify, functional to complex training contexts and characterized by emerging personal and social needs. SPECIFIC TRAINING OBJECTIVES To understand the basic methods of territorial analysis and apply them to the different territorial systems, with focus on the following topics: production systems, specific characteristics of firms and labour markets, public actors and the relationships between local dynamics and global changes (economical, technological, geopolitical, demographical, etc.). On this basis, students will be able to outline the specific training needs of companies and organizations in their territorial contexts.

The main concepts, items and methods of Economic Geography
Applied Geography versus Economic Geography and its role for a degree in Organizational Training
Recent dynamics of economic system and globalization: the geographical scenario
Globalization and local development
The spatial organization of industry, deindustrialization, offshoring, reshoring and their impact on labor
Small firms and industrial districts
The multinational firm and the new spatial division of labor
Transportation and infrastructures
The geographical effects of tourism
The city and the urban function
The effect of human action on natural environment
Case studies analysis

Teaching methods: lectures to introduce the main theoretical concepts and the methodological skills to analyze territorial systems; discussion of case studies. The slides of the lessons and further material will be available on the Moodle platform of the University before each lesson.

Examination Methods

Written examination with open questions on the topics of the course, formulated so that the student can provide brief and effective responses. Examples of questions will be proposed at the end of the course. The evaluation of the exam is expressed in thirties. Available time to complete the exam: one hour.
For the students that regularly follow the lessons, the questions regard the handbook, the topics and the case studies discussed throughout the course.
For the students that don’t attend the lessons, the questions regard the handbook and the book on local development in the program. The latter will substitute the the topics and the case studies discussed throughout the course.
For both, the exam will evaluate the knowledge of the course topics and the competencies of the methods and scientific language of Economic Geography.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Stage e Tirocini

Le attività che ci si aspetta il/la tirocinante curriculare in Scienze psicologiche per la formazione svolga presso gli enti che lo/la ospitano riguardano principalmente attività di affiancamento nei seguenti ambiti:

  1. Formazione, sviluppo, innovazione e gestione delle risorse umane;
  2. Orientamento scolastico e professionale;
  3. Ricerca, selezione e valutazione psicologica del personale.

Sono ritenuti ambiti adeguati le diverse agenzie per il lavoro, le agenzie di formazione, le agenzie di orientamento, le società di consulenza e tutti gli enti, le associazioni, le aziende, le imprese e, in generale, le organizzazioni che al loro interno operano attività di ricerca, selezione e valutazione psicologica del personale, attività di formazione, sviluppo, innovazione e gestione delle risorse umane e attività di orientamento scolastico e professionale. Anche enti di ricerca e Università dove si conducono studi e indagini su questi temi sono ambiti ritenuti adeguati.
Lo/la studente/essa sarà seguito/a da un tutor accademico e da un tutor aziendale. Alle attività di tirocinio sono attribuiti 9 CFU (pari a 225 ore).
Il tutor aziendale deve essere un laureato in psicologia anche non iscritto all’albo.
