CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
GENERAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To know and understand the educational theories which support processes and techniques concerning learning, training, and development of individuals and communities, referring also to processes about social and cultural inclusion. *To apply educational methods and techniques to the analysis of learning processes, professional training, and development of communities of practices.
SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To know and understand some essential lines of the story of pedagogy (education) with specific reference to modern and contemporary ages through the analysis of the thought and the work of meaningful authors who gave special attention to the educational dimension of work and vocational training. *To know the development of the models of those vocational training promoted in modern and contemporary ages. *To understand the problematic nature of the processes of vocational training in the complexity of the current historical, cultural and economic context. *To be able to recognize the most important models of vocational training developed between the Nineteenth and the Twentieth centuries. *To define how the consideration of the training value of work has changed through the years, seizing permanence and absence in the current world in order to stress the lines of continuity/discontinuity. *To apply the historical and pedagogical knowledge to the reading and understanding of the training for work in the current complexity, as well as in the lifelong vocational learning.
Prerequisites and basic notions
- Knowledge of the historical and socio-cultural development of Italy from unity to today.
Program
- Essential lines of the history of pedagogy with specific reference to the nineteenth and twentieth centuries through the knowledge of the reflection on job training by some of the most significant authors from antiquity to the modern and contemporary age.
- In-depth study of the historical evolution of some problems relating to planning in training activities, work education, the educational value of work, apprenticeships.

- Involvement of individual students in the presentation of the topics covered by the program via power-point
Learning assessment procedures
Written test of 6/8 open questions on key issues of the program, referring to each of the three texts in the program. There is no difference in the examination procedure for attending and non-attending students.
However, attendance is recommended.
Evaluation criteria
Historical contextualization, relevance of the content to the question, correctness and clarity of argument
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The grade is divided as follows:
- 8 points for the historical contextualization,
- 14 points for the content expressed,
- 8 points for the correctness and clarity of argument
