CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.  

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives

GENERAL LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To know and understand the educational theories which support processes and techniques concerning learning, training, and development of individuals and communities, referring also to processes about social and cultural inclusion. * To apply educational methods and techniques to the analysis of learning processes, professional training, and development of communities of practices.
SPECIFIC LEARNING OBJECTIVES. *To know the elements, both conceptual and operational, that distinguish Pedagogy from other disciplines: *To know the model of the Pedagogical Project. *To know the essential elements of the ICF Classification. *To know how to carry out a pedagogical project through the dispositional logic map. *To know the main application implications of the paradigm of social generativity. *To be able to identify, within organizations, the training needs aimed at the implementation of inclusion projects. *To know the internal structure of the processes of social exclusion and discrimination in order to achieve virtuous processes of inclusion. *To understand the internal nature of prejudice towards all forms of social discrimination.

Prerequisites and basic notions

- Knowledge of the general meaning of the concept of inclusion;
- Knowledge of the relational aspects involved in training and organizational contexts;
- Knowledge of the meaning of training process;
- Knowledge of the meaning of the of typical development.

- The concept of inclusion, historical excursus of models and approaches to disability
- The United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the biopsychosocial model and the ICF.
- The IEP and the life long plan
- Prejudice and social stereotypes
- Prejudice and disability
- Prejudice and educational perspectives
- The educational project
- Methodological aspects for designing a curriculum for transition
- The dimensions of adult life for the development of social skills
- Basic skills for adult life
- Intervention with adolescents and strategies in the educational field
- Design and implementation of a transition pathway based on person-centered approach
- Employment skills
- Educational rehabilitation and parenting support interventions
- Assistive technologies (examples of apps to support people with disabilities)

Didactic methods

During the lessons PowerPoints slide will be presented. These cover the central topics of the program and will be made available to students at the end of lessons. It is suggested to organize the study starting from the input presented. Furthermore, during lessons some topics will be further analysed. For the exame, It is recommended to focus on the topics presented during lessons.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam will consist of a questionnaire made up of 20 questions, each with four answers of which only one is correct.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

The evaluation will be out of thirty. Each correct answer correspond to 2/30 points (each error or missed answer correspond to zero points). To pass the exam it is necessary to correctly answer to at least 9 questions.
