PER I LAUREANDI: Si raccomanda ai laureandi delle sessioni di novembre e marzo/aprile di NON svolgere attività extracurriculari del nuovo anno accademico (a cui non risultano iscritti e per il quale NON devono rinnovare l'iscrizione) per il conseguimento di cfu di "tipologia D o F", essendo tali sessioni di laurea con validità riferita all'anno accademico precedente. Le attività formative svolte in un anno accademico cui non si è iscritti, non danno luogo a riconoscimento di CFU.

Program

The course intends to provide knowledge and skills to analyze the origins, characteristics, processes, and consequences of prejudice in its direct and indirect forms. An integrated perspective will be adopted in which different interpretations (cognitive, emotional, motivational, cultural) will be examined.
1: DEFINE PREJUDICE
- The nature of prejudice: definitions and historical evolution;

2: GENESIS OF PREJUDICE
- Prejudice and individual differences
- The cognitive basis of prejudice: categorization and stereotypes;

Didactic methods

The delivery of the course will take place exclusively in presence, using both frontal teaching and classroom exercises. All male and female students must register on the Moodle platform of the course, which will be the main communication channel of the course and where all the resources used in class can be found.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam will take place in written form and will include both multiple choice questions and open-ended questions (max 32 points).
During the delivery of the course, for those who wish, it will be possible to participate in individual and/or collaborative activities (optional) which, following a positive evaluation, will give up to a maximum of 3 points as recognition, which will be added to the vote of the written test , only in case of achievement of the sufficiency (18/32nds). Further information and specifications on both the activities and the exam will be communicated both in class and on the Moodle page of the course.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Evaluation criteria

• Closed questions do NOT include penalties for incorrect answers.
• The points of the optional activities will be added to the final score only in case of the achievement of the sufficiency in the written test, or a vote equal to or higher than 18;
• In case of failing the exam or renouncing the mark obtained, the extra points obtained will NOT be lost, but will be kept until the last exam session of the a.y. 2024/2025;
• At the discretion of the professor, it will be possible to request an oral integration to the student.

Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The final exam will consist of a written test with:
• 17 closed questions (1 point for each correct answer);
• 5 short open questions graded from 0 to 3 points;
Participation in the individual activity will make it possible to acquire n. 1 extra point, which will be added to the score obtained in the written test;
Participation in the collaborative activity will make it possible to acquire up to no. 2 extra points, which will be added to the score obtained in the written test.
