CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
The workshop aims to enable participants to acquire fundamental skills in managing quantitative data from research in the psychological field, particularly using spreadsheets and open-source statistical packages.
Prerequisites and basic notions
No specific skills are required.

Program
Verification of data quality. Identification and treatment of missing responses. Outlier identification and management: Detection of outliers. Checks on the plausibility of the data and attribution of the measurement level. Data coding. Assignment of numerical codes to categorical responses. Creating derived variables (calculating new variables based on combinations or transformations of the original variables, e.g. total/mean scale scores).

Each lesson will be structured to combine theory and practice, ensuring complete and interactive learning.
Learning assessment procedures
A final practical test is planned to verify the skills acquired. Attending the workshop for at least 6 hours of the 8 scheduled is necessary for evaluating and consequent credit attribution in case of a positive review.
Evaluation criteria
The adequacy of the responses provided will be assessed through the practical test.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
There will be no vote. The practical test will be graded as pass/fail.
