Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

Analysis of some care issues related to nursing / obstetric intervention areas taken from professional practice and centered on patient and family problems: framing of the problem, in-depth analysis and analysis of the evidence and decision-making
Choice of a primary article or study from the evidence proposed in progress or a new source published in a scientific journal.
analyze the study,
present it and elaborate a methodological comment, (construction of a CAT)
analyze the results with those already presented in progress or emerged from similar studies and provide application indications. Exclusively research studies (primary studies), systematic reviews or meta-analyzes (systematic reviews or meta-analysis) but not narrative reviews (rewiew, clinical review, evidence report).

Didactic methods
The teaching of the module includes some frontal lessons on topics proposed by the teacher and shared with the students; autonomous and collaborative study on mandate, bibliographic research, translation and synthesis of studies on nursing and midwifery problems and elaboration and discussion with the teacher and students.
Learning assessment procedures
The exam will be represented by a report and a presentation and discussion of a CAT Critical Apprisal Topic on a question / topic chosen by the student.
The exam will include:
- analysis of a study and production of the Critical Apprisal Topic. The student selects a study used in the course of the lessons (on questions or nursing issues proposed by the teacher) or from a different source, but which meets the criteria for CAT (Systematic Review or RCT);
- elaboration of the Critical Apprisal Topic and comparison with one or more sources useful for the discussion. The Report produced will be presented in Word format - approximately 3 - 4 pages maximum.
- Presentation with production of 5-6 slides to be sent together with the report 5 days before the discussion date.
The outcome will be defined on the basis of the following criteria:
- methodological accuracy in the analysis of the evidence and production of the CAT
- disciplinary study on the chosen topic (background and scientific update)
- contribution (questions, additions and comments ..) in the various days of discussion
- commitment and participation along the way.
The teacher will guarantee individualized consultancy during the course and during the examination will individually communicate detailed feedback on the report produced and overall path.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation criteria are presented in a dedicated meeting in the classroom. The final thesis must respect the following criteria - choice of source and study design (1 points) - methodological accuracy in the analysis of evidence and production of the CAT (3 points) - disciplinary in-depth analysis on the chosen topic (background and scientific updating (3 points ) - contribution (questions, additions and comments..) in the various days of discussion (2 points) - commitment and participation during the course (1).The teacher will guarantee individualized consultancy along the way and during the exam he will individually communicate detailed feedback of the product report and overall path.
