Examination Methods
The exam will be represented by a report and a presentation and discussion of a CAT Critical Apprisal Topic on a question / topic chosen by the student.
The exam will include:
- analysis of a study and production of the Critical Apprisal Topic. The student selects a study used in the course of the lessons (on questions or nursing issues proposed by the teacher) or from a different source, but which meets the criteria for CAT (Systematic Review or RCT);
- elaboration of the Critical Apprisal Topic and comparison with one or more sources useful for the discussion. The Report produced will be presented in Word format - approximately 3 - 4 pages maximum.
- Presentation with production of 5-6 slides to be sent together with the report 5 days before the discussion date.
The outcome will be defined on the basis of the following criteria:
- methodological accuracy in the analysis of the evidence and production of the CAT
- disciplinary study on the chosen topic (background and scientific update)
- contribution (questions, additions and comments ..) in the various days of discussion
- commitment and participation along the way.
The teacher will guarantee individualized consultancy during the course and during the examination will individually communicate detailed feedback on the report produced and overall path.
