Learning objectives
The course provides a fundamental knowledge of the entire corporate finance framework. To this end, the program integrates the fundamental concepts and methodologies of finance, necessary for the analysis of the business financial dynamics, with the main finance theoretical approaches (risk quantification, cost of capital, optimal financial structure) that are useful for understanding the opportunities offered by the markets for collecting financial resources. Due to the tight relationship between the fundamental concepts of corporate finance and financial intermediation, the course also aims to provide a general overview of the constituent elements of the financial system.
The aim of the course is to give students a fundamental understanding of the theoretical and methodological tools to support corporate financial analysis, both from an internal (financial planning) and external (diagnosis and evaluation) point of view. At the end of the course, the student will be able to understand and interpret business financial dynamics, while critically and autonomously assessing the correlated implications in terms of financial stability.
