Learning objectives
Industrial economics analyses strategic choices of firms and the other economic agents such as suppliers, clients, competitors and regulators. Main aim of the course is learning to critically assess economic phenomena linked to these agents.
We will go through theoretical models of price discrimination, product differentiation, innovation, vertical and horizontal integration, comparing the results with empirical evidence and case studies.

Didactic methods
The course requires 6 credits of lectures. Teaching methods include lectures, exercises, and case discussions.
Learning assessment procedures
Written exam with theory questions and exercises, with a possible oral supplement at the discretion of the commission. There are no midterm exams.
Evaluation criteria
The exam is designed to test knowledge of the various topics covered in the program, including exercises to test the methodological application of the knowledge acquired. The exercises assessed both the correctness of the procedure and the accuracy of the explanations (when requested).
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The final grade is the grade of the written test, possibly integrated by the oral test if the commission deems it necessary.
