CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
La proposta formativa concerne l’attivazione di un modulo/workshop in lingua inglese rivolto principalmente agli studenti del CdLM in Economics and Data Analysis volto al rafforzamento delle abilità comunicative e di collaborazione con interesse all’interazione per l’analisi di problemi economici. Il modulo costituisce un’importante offerta formativa complementare ai Corsi di Studio erogati in lingua inglese.
Program
L’insegnamento sarà tenuto dal Professor Gooch, John john.gooch@utdallas.edu, Area Head for Communication Studies, Associate Professor of Communication Studies, School of Arts, Humanities, and Technology University of Texas at Dallas, USA.
“Soft skills” include the skills of problem solving, communication, and effective collaboration when working with others in teams and/or in organizations. This module will focus on soft skills training for students pursuing the Laurea Magistrale in Economics and Data Analysis so that they can develop these skills through teambuilding exercises and collaborative activities. Students will also comprehend perspectives on collaborative group dynamics, learn principles of good team leadership, and apply strategies of mediation and conflict resolution.
Topics will cover: (i) Group dynamics; (ii) Listening and interpersonal skills; (iii) Teambuilding activities and exercises; (iv) Group leadership; (v) Mediation and conflict resolution; (vi) Professional presentations (introduction/overview).
L'iniziativa è rivolta a studenti iscritti a CdLM della Scuola Economia e Management, indirizzata in via prioritaria agli studenti di Economics and Data Analysis e International Economics and Business ed in seconda istanza a studenti di altri CdLM della Scuola. Numero massimo studenti iscritti 25.
Durata del corso: Il corso si articola in una serie di lezioni/esercitazioni (in presenza) per una durata equivalente ad un totale di 6 ore su di una settimana.
Periodo di svolgimento: novembre 2022 (indicativamente dal 14 al 18 novembre 2022).
Learning assessment procedures
Si ricorda che i laureandi di dicembre 2022/aprile 2023 non possono partecipare e richiedere l'accreditamento di cfu per la presente attività, in quanto si tratta di un'erogazione 2022/2023, mentre le sessioni di laurea si riferiscono all'a.a. 2021/2022.
Gli studenti regolarmente iscritti all'a.a. 2022/2023 sono tenuti a inserire l'attività a libretto.
Riconoscimento di crediti formativi (CFU) di tipologia D: L’attività formativa richiede un impegno corrispondente a 1 CFU.
Il riconoscimento di crediti è subordinato a:
- frequenza ad almeno il 75% delle lezioni/esercitazioni;
- superamento di una prova finale di idoneità da coordinare con il docente.
