Learning objectives
This course deals with the economic, social and political context of business activities throughout a panel of key markets around the world. Special attention is paid to the factors that shape the business environment.
Teaching Methodology will include: interactive lectures, short videos, in-class group work, case studies, group assignments and interactive class activities.
At the end of this class, the student will know more about actual major key markets in the world:
- Is it necessary to be aware of international difficulties? Why ?
- Is it necessary to include Geopolitics in Business? Why?
- Does Geopolitics have some impact on companies? Why? Which ones?
- Is there some links between Geopolitics and investors?
- Do investors use the Geopolitical Risk Index? Why?
- Which challenges are companies facing international geopolitics?
Proposed Professor special competences:
- Have a good sense of former mature markets.
- Know some new and old geopolitical issues.
- Master the necessary tools for markets risk analysis.
- Acquire the skills needed as a manager dealing with World Markets Global Risks.
- Improve proficiency of the English language while learning about Geopolitics.

Session 3: A Managerial Perspective; Global Risk Index; Case Study: how Ukraine’s invasion modified the world business?; Preparation for Presentations
