Academic calendar
The academic calendar shows the deadlines and scheduled events that are relevant to students, teaching and technical-administrative staff of the University. Public holidays and University closures are also indicated. The academic year normally begins on 1 October each year and ends on 30 September of the following year.

The lectures will be focused on the problem of the relationship between the literary profession, publishing activities and journalism through the analysis of interviews with italian writers of the Twentieth Century

Prerequisites:
Knowledge of the history of italian literature, particularly of the Twentieth Century
Contents of the course:
Reading and commenting interviews with italian writers, with particular regard to Eugenio Montale, Carlo Emilio Gadda, Leonardo Sciascia. We will refer, among other texts, to G. CATTANEO, Il gran lombardo, Milano, Garzanti, 1973 (Torino, Einaudi, 1991, 2nd ed.); L. SCIASCIA, La Sicilia come metafora. Intervista di M. PADOVANI, Milano, Mondadori, 1979 (1984, 2nd ed., etc.); E. BONORA, Conversando con Montale, Milano, Rizzoli, 1983; L. Sciascia, A futura memoria (se la memoria ha un futuro), Milano, Bompiani, 1989 (1990, 2nd. ed., etc.). For texts no commercially available photocopies will be provided in class for strictly personal use.
For attending and not attending students, is required the reading of following texts (including prefaces, afterwords etc.)
