Program

The Life Cycle Pedagogy laboratory is divided into three distinct laboratories, each of which has its own specific content. To find out the individual contents, refer to the respective programs. The common factor, which characterizes the three workshops, is given by the reference to the theme of adult and elderly life.

Didactic methods

The teachers who hold the individual laboratories independently choose the teaching methods they deem most suitable for the contents to be presented to the students enrolled in their laboratory.
The common factor that characterizes the three laboratories also from the point of view of teaching methods is given by the fact that the reference to concrete experience, correlated to the theoretical contents of teaching, is dominant. In particular, the reference to the experience takes place both through the presentation of specific material (for example, texts, documents and films), and through the organization of meetings with witnesses or professional figures who work with adults or the elderly.

Learning assessment procedures

The method of verifying learning is identical in all three laboratories: formulation of a written report, with which the student demonstrates his ability to understand and interpret the meaning of what was presented and exposed during the course of the laboratory activities. In a second step, the final report is presented to the teacher during the exam, which consists of an oral interview.
The drafting of the report and the subsequent interview can be carried out both individually and as an expression of a group activity. The composition of the working group (which can be made up of a maximum of four students) must be approved in advance by the laboratory teacher.
The final mark of the exam will result from the weighted average of the two marks acquired respectively in the written exam, (relating to modules 1 and 2), and in the oral interview (relating to module 3). Based on this method, the contribution of the two exams to the composition of the final grade will be defined in proportion to the number of credits of the reference modules: 8 credits and 1 credit.
To safeguard the content and didactic unity of teaching as a whole, students are strongly advised to take both exams (the written exam and the oral exam) in the same exam session. If this is not possible, it should be remembered that, in order to pass the exam, the written test and the oral test must be carried out within the same academic year.

Evaluation criteria

The evaluation criteria of the laboratory activity are formulated by the professor who manages the laboratory. Also in this case, the common factor is given by the fact that the double evaluation criterion remains constant, also used in the theoretical part of the teaching, i.e. the criterion relating to the contents learned, and that which concerns the logical and expository methods which reveal the level of learning and personal re-elaboration of the contents by each student.
