Learning outcomes

Introduction to the main characteristics of German dialects, German colloquial registers (Umgangssprache) and the German Standard Language.

Program

"Die strukturellen Charakteristiken des Standarddeutschen und seiner regionalen Varietäten". In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit den phonologischen, morphologischen, syntaktischen und lexikalischen Charakteristiken der deutschen Dialekte, der regionalen Umgangssprachen und der deutschen Standardvarietäten.

Examination Methods

Final exams throughout the year are oral. Depending on the number of participants, the students which attend classes regularly are offered the possibility to give in-class presentations or to write a term paper.

Linguistic competence required: level C2, certified either by the CLA (Centro Linguistico di Ateneo) or by any other authorized testing center.
