Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to provide the students with the method and the instruments for understanding the theatre as an aesthetic phenomenon and for the analysis of the performance with respect to the historical evolution of the theatre and to the cultural context, in particular during the 19th and 20th century.

Program

The first module covers the presence of the fantastic in the European theater; The second module aims to the analysis of aesthetics play by Antonin Artaud
