Learning outcomes

The aim of the course is to improve knowledge of grammar and vocabulary acquired independently or during the three-year degree and communication skills, both general and specific in the four skills up to the level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. At the end of the course the student must demonstrate that he or she has acquired an excellent command of the common language and, in part, of the specialized one (social and economic). Part of the course is devoted specifically to the improvement of specialized (social and economic) vocabulary and to the analysis of business, financial and economic texts, with particular attention to the problems related to contrastive and specialized aspects.

Examination Methods

For students attending the course
The final examination consists of both a written test (translation from English with monolingual and/or bilingual dictionaries) at the end of the course and an oral one or, by choice, a ppt presentation of an economic case from of the German-speaking area with an explanation in German for about 15 minutes.
For students not attending the course
The examination consists of an oral one on the two books in the bibliography.
