Learning outcomes

To gain an in-depth knowledge of one of the most significant Italian writers of the second half of the Twentieth century. Students are required to use correctly the Italian language, its grammar and syntax, as well as all those rhetorical and stylistic skills which are essential for a close reading of any literary text.

Program

1)Tradition and innovation in Italian literature from the Twenties to the Present: main movements; 2) reading Italo Calvino.
