Learning outcomes
the course aims at providing critical and methodological tools for reading and discussing texts related to political philosophy, subjectivity and the definition of the human.
Program
By mobilizing the concepts of verticality and inclination as postures of the subject, the course revisits from a political perspective important thinkers of contemporary philosophy. In particular, by calling on Canetti's and Lévinas' texts and their different conceptions of the human condition, the course focuses on the issue of the link between ontology and political violence, connecting it to questions of our times.

Emmanuel Lévinas, Totalità e infinito, Jaca Book, Milano.
Elias Canetti, Potere e sopravvivenza, Adelphi, Milano.
Adriana Cavarero, Inclinazioni. Critica della rettitudine, Raffaello Cortina, Milano.
