Diagnostic methodologies for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (2015/2016)
The teaching is organized as follows:
Learning outcomes
------------------------
MM: METODI E TECNICHE DI GENETICA E BIOLOGIA MOLECOLARE
------------------------
The training objective is to provide adequate knowledge of the main diseases related to alterations of genes and theoretical principles of the techniques of cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Obtain adequate knowledge of the theoretical principles and applications of the techniques of detection of genetic alterations.
------------------------
MM: BIOTECNOLOGIE RICOMBINANTI
------------------------
The course has the following objectives: to distinguish the activities of key enzymes used in recombinant technologies ; b ) provide the student with the knowledge necessary to understand the techniques applied for producing cloning vectors and gene expression vectors.
------------------------
MM: BIOLOGIA MOLECOLARE
------------------------
The course aims to make students understand the role of genetic testing in the clinical course of the patient. The course also aims to provide an updated view of molecular biology techniques that are used in different clinical settings including prenatal diagnosis of genetic and chromosomal disorders, diagnosis of mendelian and oncoematologic diseases, infertility and pharmacogenetics.
------------------------
MM: BIOCHIMICA E CHIMICA DELL'INQUINAMENTO AMBIENTALE
------------------------
------------------------
MM: METODOLOGIA DIAGNOSTICA MOLECOLARE
------------------------
The course aims to make students understand the role of genetic testing in the clinical course of the patient. The course also aims to provide students who have no medical training the basic knowledge on the clinical aspects concerning the genetic basis of diseases. The course aims to provide an updated view of molecular biology techniques that are used in a clinical setting.
