Learning outcomes

The course aims to introduce the concepts and tools necessary for understanding the content and the informative value of the financial statements of companies. The course, therefore, starting from the basic concepts of the business economy, such as the definition of company, its objective function, its role in the economic system and its management balances, will deepen the issues related to the contents and the structure of the financial statements required by current legislation.

-Introduction to the business economy: classification of companies and definition of their role in the economic system.
- The objective function of the company.
- Business management: life phases, cycles and management aspects.
- The economic-financial structure of the company: income, capital, financial needs and methods of coverage.
- The equilibrium of the company.
-The financial statements: general clause, drafting and structure principles.
- Structure and content of budget documents.
- Evaluation criteria for balance sheet items.
