The student will acquire knowledge about the main techniques used to analyze and improve the performance and its determinants through laboratory and field instruments. Based to this the student will plan and implement training models

MM: METODI E DIDATTICHE DELLE ATTIVITÀ MOTORIE
------------------------
Knowing the fundamental techniques applied for improving the motor performances through action imagination: the so-called “mental training”. Knowing the fundamental ways to apply mental training considering different populations: healthy people or people with neuro-motor pathologies (stroke, Parkinson, amputees). Knowing the fundamental procedure utilized for testing the ability to anticipate and to preprogram actions.
For this class none book is suggested but instead scientific journals related to the topics of the class.
Program
Mental practice and movement imagination: enhancing the performance. Applications: elite athletes and individuals affected by neuro-motor pathologies and by long-tem articular immobilizations. The neuronal underpinning of internal simulation of actions. Anticipatory Postural Adjustments (APA) action preplanning.
