The teaching offers knowledge and reflection about community, aimed to work in the professional community, do caring intervention with families and patient’s community for every kind of needs and disease, collaborate and integrate with local services and information’s networks

MM: SOCIOLOGIA DELLA FAMIGLIA
------------------------
The course aims to introduce students to a vision of the family as a social institution whose primary function is social assistance to the members belonging to the family itself. The course will present the familiar forms that flank the so-called traditional family, starting from multigenerational family. From these forms and social phenomena that generated them, it will offer some reflections on contemporary forms of home care and the role of caregiver. Finally, we will observe the family as reference variable through epidemiological models (theoretical) capable of presenting operating modes of the family network with respect to issues related to health and disease/illness/sickness.

General knowledge of the cultural, historical, scientific and normative development of psychiatry, including contributions from recent epidemiological data. General knowledge of the classification of mental disorders, including etiological and prognostic models (biological, social and psychological ones). General knowledge of semiotics, psychopathology and clinical aspects of mental disorders. General knowledge of therapeutic interventions, including rehabilitation and medications, for mental disorders.

The exam is written. It consists of 60 pre-arranged questions (16 of group psychology and 11 of all other disciplines). The examination is sufficient if all the parts are sufficient. Questions are formulated by suggesting cases on which to reason, or to verify the knowledge / study, or to verify the understanding of the arguments.
