Examination Methods
The exam will consist of an oral examination (both for regularly attending students and non attending students).
The examination aims at evaluating the students' knowledge of the texts read during the lectures and autonomously: they will be asked to read and translate a decent amount of verses from multiple texts, and to discuss them through an in-depth analysis.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the morphological and phonological aspects of the Greek literary dialects.
The students' critical competence will be tested as well, especially in the ability to link specific linguistic aspects with the general development of Greek language and the different features of poetic genres.
Erasmus students will be given the possibility of different examination arrangements.
