MM: ATTIVITA' PRATICA IN PARODONTOLOGIA
------------------------
The specific goal of the training in Periodontology is to provide the student, based on scientific knowledge acquired, the tools necessary to approach the patient with periodontal compromise. At the end of the traineeship, the student must be able to formulate a diagnosis and discuss a possible initial treatment plan for the periodontal patient. Learning and starting the basic periodontal surgical techniques execution.

During the sixth year of the course the practical internship will be carried out through monothematic in-depth studies that the students will carry out in small groups. The clinical part will be followed through the visualization of clinical cases on patients, carried out by structured clinical staff of the university clinic itself.

Ability to differential diagnosis of temporomandibular pathologies and muscle disorders. Knowledge of diagnostic tools and intervention principles. Ability to read an MRI of the temporomandibular joint and to identify the pathologies found in them. Ability to formulate treatment plans integrated with other disciplines.
