Learning objectives
This course aims at introducing the basics of scientific communication, such as learning the logic of public and mass media communication, with an overview of the means of communication and improving the efficiency of specialized communication.
The ultimate goal is to communicate more effectively, so as to make the complex world of science, technology, the environment and health accessible to the general public through scientific dissemination.

None.
Program
Theoretical lessons will be alternated with discussion of real cases (participation of: Jonathan Weiner, writer and teacher of journalism at the Columbia University, awarded with the Pulitzer Prize; Samuele Negro, researcher at the University of Padova, creator of @samuscientist; Gabriele Beccaria, science journalist, editor of Tuttoscienze (“La Stampa”) and coordinator of the “Salute” Hub for the Gedi Group).

Didactic methods
Lessons will take place in the classroom, with the professors focusing on the presentation of the main topics; moreover, the intervention of journalists, popularizers or writers in the scientific field is envisaged.
