Learning objectives

The course aims to provide students with the fundamental elements on psychic functions, the peculiarities of the main psychiatric disorders and their classification. Know the psychopathology and develop skills for treatment and rehabilitation. Know the techniques for the relationship with the user and methods of treating and taking care of the patient with mental distress and acquiring the ability to formulate the related therapeutic-rehabilitative processes. MODULE APPROACHING THE PERSON WITH PSYCHIC DISORDERS Training objectives: To provide the student with tools to recognize the problems of the person related to his psychopathological state and to relate to it. Analyze the relationship with the patient with particular reference to the ability to observe and effective strategies to use with the person suffering from: psychotic disorder, depressive disorder, personality disorder and anxiety disorder. MODULE AND PRINCIPLES OF PSYCHIATRIC REHABILITATION Training objectives: At the end of the module the student will be able to identify the main theoretical and methodological constructs that are the basis of rehabilitative action. He will know how to identify the most suitable methods and contexts for applying rehabilitation techniques that best meet the needs of the person suffering from mental pathology. The student will also be able to understand the importance of team work and to recognize the peculiarities of the different psychiatric services present in Italy. CLINICAL PSYCHIATRY MODULE Training objectives: to provide basic notions on general psychopathology and psychiatric nosography, so as to make students able to recognize the main signs and symptoms of mental discomfort, develop a diagnostic orientation and enhance the clinical knowledge acquired within the therapeutic rehabilitation work. COMMUNITY PSYCHIATRY MODULE Training objectives: To provide the student with the fundamental knowledge of social psychiatry and community (or territorial) psychiatry that helps him to identify the socio-relational components of the discomfort and to establish and maintain the therapeutic / rehabilitative relationship, aware of the context of mental health services within which it operates. MODULE GENERAL PSYCHOPATHOLOGY Educational objectives: To acquire the fundamental knowledge on mental function disorders with reference to the diagnostic process. Criteria for the composition of the final grade

The aim is to ascertain the achievement of the training objectives of the course through written and oral tests. The score is out of thirty.
