Learning objectives
The goal of the course is to help students to develop the skills necessary to engage in participatory research, which is the essential condition for being a "teacher-researcher": indeed the international literature assumes the acquisition of research skills as an essential element to stop the role of technical and assume that of educator
Prerequisites and basic notions
There are no specific pre-requisites for accessing the course.
Program
Acquiring research and reflective knowledge and skills that allow designing and implementing effective teaching paths and identifying and resolving critical issues within learning contexts represents today an essential element of the professionalism of a teacher-researcher.
Bibliography
Didactic methods
A student-centred approach will be adopted during the course, with moments of frontal lessons alternating with active and cooperative learning and assessment strategies.
Learning assessment procedures
The final exam consists of a two-part exam:
1) Exam with open answers, aimed at evaluating the achievement of reflection and argumentation objectives.
2) Creation of a personal multimedia representation of the role of teacher-researcher.
Evaluation criteria
The evaluation criteria of the exam with open answers are the following: degree of coherence of the answer with the question, degree of in-depth understanding of the concepts, use of an appropriate language for the scientific topics/concepts dealt with.
The evaluation criteria of the personal multimedia representation will be explained in class and included, together with specific information for the development, in a Moodle section dedicated to this exercise.
Criteria for the composition of the final grade
The results of the open-ended exam and of the individual paper are worth 50% of the final grade respectively.
