Learning objectives
The course aims to provide the student with technical-practical, relational, problem-solving and organizational skills in safe setting, before clinical practice in clinical environment with patients, in order to reduce the emotional impact that comes from real situations and guarantee ethicality and safety to patients. For these reasons this course represents a prerequisite for the clinical practice. It also offers to student the opportunity to train himself in applying the theoretical principles to practice situations. The main skills of the first year of the Bachelor Degree are: measuring vital parameters, hand hygiene, choice and use of personal protective equipment (PPE), setting up a sterile field, staging and treatment of a pressure injury , take care of the person's body, apply the principles of ergonomics, carry out the person's positioning / transfer and assisted positioning maneuvers, assessment skills and objective examination.
