- Understand the use of German for teaching purposes in the Middle Ages and Early Modern times;
- Understand the use and development of German didactic texts.

Program

La lezione intende illustrare lo sviluppo dell’uso della lingua tedesca nella prassi didattica del tardo Medioevo e del primo Evo Moderno sia come metalingua, ovverosia come lingua di insegnamento, che come lingua oggetto di studio con la presentazione di alcuni strumenti didattici dell’epoca. (The lecture aims at giving an overview of the development of the use of German both as metalanguage and as object language during the late Middle Ages and the early modern period, with a special focus on the didactic texts used in the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries.)
