Learning outcomes

Cultural goal:
The course aims to provide students with the basic theoretical knowledge of family mediation with mixed couples and families from non-European languages, religions and cultures

Educational Goals:
At the end of the course the student must be able to:
1) - Knowing how to situate from a geopolitical point of view, starting from their images of immigrant, foreign, family, maternity, paternity.
2) - Know the theoretical principles of Family Mediation with mixed and non-European couples

Program

Contents:
The theoretical part will be related to the realities of public and private family mediation services with non-European families and mixed couples, analyzing concrete situations involving children and their parents.

Educational organization
Lessons are structured so that there is, in addition to the contribution from the teacher’s theoretical part, a thinking moment shared between students in order to build a knowledge starting from the interactions between theory and practices.

Examination Methods

The exam will be an oral interview with direct questions aimed to probe the rational study of the theories learned.
