CONTAMINATION LAB 

The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.  

Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Philosophy of Language
The course aims at providing examples of the contribution modern and contemporary philosophy has made to the understanding of the functioning of language, and the relation between language, material reality and social reality.
At the end of the course, students:
KNOWLEDGE:
- will possess a wider knowledge of the main conceptual lines of Western philosophical tradition;
ABILITIES:
- will be able to comprehend philosophical texts, to set them in their proper critical context, and to interpret them;
- will use a correct philosophical terminology;
- will be able to autonomously form judgements on the subjects dealt with in the course;
- will develop the capacity to communicate philosophical contents to specialists and non-specialists alike;
- will be capable to continue their studies at a MA level.

Program

Il corso verte sulla filosofia di Ludwig Wittgenstein, in particolare sulla sua prima opera, il Tractatus logico-philosophicus.
Leggeremo insieme il Tractatus, passi dai Quaderni del 1914-16, la Conferenza sull'etica, e alcune annotazioni di Wittgenstein scritte tra il Tractatus e il 1930.
Il corso ha una vocazione fortemente laboratoriale: durante le lezioni leggeremo e commenteremo insieme il Tractatus. Gli studenti sono dunque invitati a portare a lezione una copia del testo, così da poter seguire la lettura e lo studio.
