L-FIL-LET/11 - CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE

Learning outcomes

This course aims to introduce students to the knowledge of modern and contemporary Italian literature, considered in its relationships with Italian national history and society. During lessons we read significant works by Italian authors and we critically analyze the texts, in order to highlight the peculiar characteristics of literary expression within the framework of the communication system.
On successful completion of the module, students should be able to read and comment, from a historical-critical point of view, the works examined and to recognize the main characteristics of the literary text in its expressive and communicative articulations.

Examination Methods

Oral examination about all the parts of the course. The examination aims at evaluating the student's knowledge and skills, with special reference to the texts read during lessons.
Erasmus students will be informed about the oral examination during lessons or student office hours.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, and in accordance with the University of Verona guidelines, during ​the 2020 summer and autumn session the assessment modality will be modified as follows: online oral exam.
