Learning outcomes

The course proposes him to introduce to the study of the Social Service as it disciplines and as profession exploring the knowledge of the disciplinary field of the Social Service. They will illustrate the historical-philosophical presuppositions, the object of study and intervention, the context of values and theoretical orientations that you/they constitute the bases on which the methodological and scientific structure of the Social Service founds him. Particular attention will be set, in a picture of together, to the conditions in the circle of which the Italian Social Service has developed his to know, in the essential relationship among construction of routine and theoretical elaboration.

Program

1. Her answered to the social needs: analysis of the different readings of the needs to forehead of the different partner-historical-cultural contexts of affiliation. Definition, classification, survey of the needs and them transformation in question.
2. Birth of the Social Service as demand of professionalization of the interventions of answer to the social needs: from the philanthropic movements in the Anglo-Saxon countries to the foundation of the first schools of Social Service in Italy
3. Her historical phases of development of the Social Service in Italy: evolution from the birth to the today's situation.
4. The system of values and operational principles of the Social Service.
5. Him object and the circle of intervention of the Social Service
6. General objectives and the functions of the social assistant.
