Learning outcomes


The course aims to provide the students with the theoretical knowledge concerning the methodology of working with people with the bifocal social service perspective: person-environment in their interactions. The theoretical and ethical support needed to assume the territory to the size of the social worker's work and to acquire the ability to work as a project leader will be provided, involving the network of services and people to promote their growth and growth.
Particular attention will be given to the method used in working with individuals, groups and communities, in the relationship between the various socio-health agencies in the area.
Within the study of the social service intervention methodology, work will be carried out for projects targeted at both the individual case and the group, as well as the community.
The course is aimed at acquiring the skills needed to understand the various situations of discomfort, to develop professional autonomy both in the evaluation of individual situations and in the ability to develop appropriate intervention projects in terms of efficiency, efficiency and process quality.

During the lessons the theme of the method in Social Service will be addressed, also in relation to the various theoretical reference models. The topic of evaluation in Social Services will be analyzed in the scale of efficiency, effectiveness and quality of process during individual case intervention, work with groups and the community.
Then we will analyze the scope of intervention of the Social Service, trying to offer a picture of the different areas of work in which the role of social worker can be inserted, whether they are public or private non-profit or for-profit or free profession .

In the course of the Laboratory of Methods and Techniques of Social Service II will be proposed some cases of the operation of the social worker addressed to both the individual and the group, and to the community, on which to apply the methodological process of the discipline itself, including the evaluation of their outcome. Students, divided into small groups, will have the opportunity to rework the theories learned during lessons and reflect on their practical application.
They will also have the opportunity to meet some social assistants and stakeholders in projects and social interventions that are particularly significant to recognize how such theoretical concepts live in professional practice.

The assessment of learning outcomes provides for a written test to ascertain the knowledge of the topics under consideration and the ability to apply the method to individual cases of intervention in the aiding process. The written exam consists of 15 open questions and will potentially cover all the topics of the program during the lessons and practical workshops.
The questions will all have the same weight for the final evaluation and therefore the judgment on the elaboration will generally be about the overall competencies of the candidate.
The evaluation will be expressed in thirty-five.

Internship Training Examination is an integral part and is included in the Examination of Methods and Techniques of Social Service II
