Learning outcomes
This course aims at introducing the participants to the core properties of semiotic processes, with respect to both natural language and artificial languages.
Program
Specific attention will be paid to the interface between semiotic and cognitive processes, to the notions of language and mind, to the computational theory of mind and to the relationship between grammar and meaning. Issues of meaning will be addressed at both sentence- and text-level.
