CONTAMINATION LAB
The Contamination Lab Verona (CLab Verona) is an experiential course with modules on innovation and enterprise culture that offers the opportunity to work in teams with students from all areas to solve challenges set by companies and organisations.
Upon completion of a CLab, students will be entitled to receive 6 CFU (D- or F-type credits).

PLEASE NOTE: In order to be admitted to any teaching activities, including those of your choice, you must be enrolled in the academic year in which the activities in question are offered. Students who are about to graduate in the December and April sessions are therefore advised NOT to undertake extracurricular activities in the new academic year in which they are not enrolled, as these graduation sessions are valid for students enrolled in the previous academic year. Therefore, students who undertake an activity in an academic year in which they are not enrolled will not be granted CFU credits.

Learning objectives
In the first part, the course focuses on the valuation of bonds (both government and corporate), first at the level of individual bond and then at the aggregate portfolio level, in order to appreciate the main management policies, passive and active, of portfolios composed by bonds only and by bonds and derivatives. In the second part, the course deals with the equity evaluation criteria and the way financial markets operate.
Prerequisites and basic notions
Basic notion of financial mathematics
Program
Second part
The evaluation criteria and indicators of the return and risk of equities.
Markowitz's portfolio selection theory.
The Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM).
Equity portfolio management strategies.
Performance evaluation.
The bond and equity markets managed by Borsa Italiana.

The topics of the second part of the course are covered in the following chapters of the textbook: 8, 9, 10, part of 12 dedicated to equity portfolios, 13 and part of 16 dedicated to the bond and equity markets managed by Borsa Italiana.

Didactic methods
Teaching will be developed through lectures aimed at facilitating the understanding and interpretation
of theoretical concepts.
Learning assessment procedures
Regarding the second part of the program, there will be 3 questions (consisting of open theoretical questions and / or exercises to be solved by providing a comment on the results obtained).
Evaluation criteria
The questions on the second part aim to verify the student's ability to critically analyze the topics covered. The 3 questions will be evaluated in total to a maximum of 14 points.
