Learning outcomes
The course gives a framework of the European and national institutions. It analysis their operational mechanisms and the relationships at the local level.
The course helps to understand the historical evolution of the E.U. food policy and the way in which it has been integrated in the Italian law.

1) The Italian and the European food system
a) characteristics;

c) relationships between actors.
2) The agro-food policy:
a) the ratio of the food policy;
b) objectives and tools;
c) stakeholders.
3) The role of institutions in the agro-food policy management
a) the E.U. level;
b) the National level;
c) the level regions.
4) The price and market policies in the domestic and the international food market.
5) The E.U. food policy:
a) food security;
b) food safety.
