Learning outcomes
Medical students will be able to grasp basic knowledge related to epidemiology, classification, pathophysiology, methodological and diagnostic istopathological and clinical approaches, impact of treatment on natural history of main hematological, reumathological, allergic, gastroenterological, infectious and cutaneous disorders.
Program
The purpose of the course is to learn the clinical elements that justify the intervention of the specialist Rheumatologist:
- to Know how to distinguish osteoarthritis from arthritis on a clinical level
- to Know the elements of differential diagnosis between rheumatoid arthritis and spondyloarthritis.
- to Know how to find the clinical elements to diagnose a rheumatic disease with particular reference to connectitis and vasculitis.
- to Know the laboratory procedures able to support a diagnosis of a rheumatic diseases.
- to Know how to interpret the results of the main laboratory tests of rheumatological relevance.
- to be able to recognize the elementary radiological lesions of the osteoarticular pathology.
