Learning outcomes
The main goal of this course is to develop confidence in using English in dentistry contexts expanding the English general and dental vocabulary repertoire (i.e. understanding and use of common dentistry vocabulary and idioms, improvement in the ability to communicate in English in a hospital or clinical settings with patients and colleagues). This course aims at increasing students' familiarity with English for dentistry language, discourse and communication in different contexts of practice. The focus is on carrying out specialized activities in English, but attention is given to academic and scientific reading comprehension skills, basic scientific writing skills, and technical medical terms
